    Acronym of the evening

In his brief remarks, Sen. Watson said his son referred him to an online dictionary to find the meaning of MOTO, apparently a name some other blogger had recently attached to the senator. Watson explained that MOTO stands for "Master of the Obvious." That's a whole lot different than Master of the Oblivious, of course. When it comes to transportation, he said, sometimes things aren't so obvious. Watson praised the forum as an event that would help make clear what more Texans are saying -- it's time to keep Texas moving -- which seems pretty obvious after spending the better part of an hour moving at 4 mph "parked" behind a big-rig truck on Interstate 35 during Austin's rush hour. Here's hoping that TxDOT's second annual transportation forum will bring more Texans to support the transportation solutions that work best for Texas.

    Hello Again

It was fun to see everyone and re-establish connections. The forum helps to bring us all together. Justin

    Networking can be noisy

Always good to see old friends at the forum. Lots of news to catch up on. Sometimes the excitement of re-connecting is too much, it seems. Case in point: that point in the opening reception when it came time for everyone to settle down in the banquet room to hear Sen. Watson's remarks. Some folks throughout the vast room kept right on visiting, making it difficult to hear at times. Maybe one of TxDOT's dynamic-message signs could have done the trick: Please, Shhhh!

    New blog

I love the blog idea. Not only can we network one-on-one, here's a chance to let our views and ideas be known among any conference participant. Keep it up!
